FleetUp AI: Scope and Current Boundaries

　Purpose

This page clarifies what FleetUp AI (Scout) can do today, what is still in development, and how it differs from the AI Assistant. It helps users understand where each tool fits within the FleetUp platform and what kind of requests each one can handle.

　Understanding the Difference between FleetUp AI (Scout) and AI Assistant

FleetUp offers two AI tools designed for different needs within the platform. Using the right one will save time and return the most accurate information.

AI Assistant
Help, Setup, and Navigation Support

AI Assistant is the built-in help chatbot designed to guide you through the platform. It focuses on usability and general support rather than data analysis.

Access: Located on the top right corner of the FleetUp platform, and also accessible from the Advanced Map tab.

Use AI Assistant to:

  • Learn how to set up or configure devices and features
  • Navigate platform menus and dashboards
  • Get troubleshooting guidance or onboarding support

Example questions:

  • “How do I reset my login credentials?”
  • “Where can I find the trip history report?”
  • “How do I install my ELD tracking device?”

FleetUp AI (Scout)
Data Search and Analysis

FleetUp AI (Scout) is designed to help you interact directly with your operational data. It interprets and analyzes real-time fleet information already stored in your account to generate summaries, insights, and visualizations.

Access: Open the AI subtab within your FleetUp account. It will launch in a new window dedicated to data analysis and reporting.

Use FleetUp AI (Scout) to:

  • Analyze trip, asset, or alert data
  • Identify performance trends or exceptions
  • Create summaries or visual reports from recent activities

Example questions:

  • “Which vehicles had the most speeding alerts this week?”
  • “Show me trips over 300 miles completed yesterday.”
  • “Create a pie chart of assets by operational status.”
  • “Generate a mileage and fuel summary for today.”

　Scope of FleetUp AI (Scout)

FleetUp AI (Scout) analyzes operational data already available in your account. It is meant to give you quick insights without navigating multiple reports. The product is actively evolving—future updates will expand its data coverage and analytical capabilities.

　Current Limitations

Unavailable Data Types

  • Dashcam events
  • Battery history and temperature readings
  • Geofencing data and events
  • Vehicle maintenance data and configurations

Data Range and Scale

  • Large datasets or full historical reviews should be done in the FleetUp Reports module.

Date and Time Range Limits

  • Maximum date range: Up to 6 months back
  • Trip data window: 31-day maximum per query
  • Alert data window: 7-day maximum per query

Sensitive or External Topics

  • No access to personal, HR, medical, or financial information.
  • No support for legal, tax, or compliance-related questions.

System Boundaries

  • FleetUp AI (Scout) does not modify account settings, device states, or reports.
  • It cannot control or send commands to vehicles or hardware.

　Data & Freshness

  • FleetUp AI (Scout) pulls from recent system data but may lag slightly behind live dashboards.
  • Some data categories (like Geofencing and Maintenance) are planned for future releases.
  • For time-sensitive or compliance work, confirm results within your FleetUp dashboards and reports.

　Accuracy & Responsibility

FleetUp AI (Scout) helps interpret and summarize your data quickly, but results may not always be complete or error-free. Verify all operational and compliance decisions in the FleetUp platform before taking action.

  • For Geofencing or Maintenance details: go to the corresponding FleetUp modules.
