FleetUp AI: Scope and Current Boundaries
This page outlines what FleetUp AI can do today, the data it uses, and areas still in development. It provides a clear overview of how the unified FleetUp AI supports your daily operations, analysis, and platform guidance.
What FleetUp AI Does Today
FleetUp AI now combines platform guidance with data search and analysis in one experience. You can ask operational questions, request summaries, explore trends, and get help using features across the platform.
Use FleetUp AI to:
- Look up recent fleet activity such as trips, alerts, and asset status
- Produce summaries, explanations, or simple visualizations based on available data
- Understand where to find features or how to perform tasks in the platform
- Get help with setup, onboarding, or general navigation
Example Questions
- “Which vehicles had the most speeding alerts this week?”
- “Show me trips completed yesterday over 300 miles.”
- “How do I add a new driver to my account?”
- “Where do I find my fuel summaries?”
FleetUp AI answers based on your live account data and general platform guidance.
Scope of Data Coverage
FleetUp AI analyzes operational data already stored in your account. It works best for quick insights, recent activity review, and high-level summaries without jumping between multiple modules.
Data Types Currently Supported
- Trip history
- Asset status and activity
- Alerts (speeding, idling, harsh events, etc.)
- Operational timelines (within current date limits)
- Basic performance trends
- Driver/vehicle summary data already accessible in reports
As new modules and datasets are enabled for AI access, they will be added to this page.
Current Limitations
FleetUp AI is actively expanding. The items below outline what is not yet supported.
Unavailable Data Types
- Dashcam events (Video, inward/outward events, risk clips): This is the only data type currently unavailable for AI access.
- Battery history and temperature readings: Historical battery-level logs and device temperature data are not yet accessible through FleetUp AI.
- Geofencing data and events: Geofence entry/exit events, geofence-based alerts, and zone-level analytics are not yet supported in FleetUp AI.
- Vehicle maintenance data and configurations: Maintenance schedules, service logs, fault codes, and configuration data are not currently enabled for FleetUp AI access.
Date and Time Range Limits
- Maximum historical window: Up to 6 months back
- Trip data per query: Up to 31 days
- Alert data per query: Up to 7 days
System Boundaries
- FleetUp AI does not modify settings, change device states, or send commands
- It cannot perform hardware actions
- It cannot generate or submit compliance documents
Data Scale
- Analyses use up to the first 100 rows of data per query
- For complete historical reviews, use the Reports module
Sensitive or External Topics
- No access to personal, HR, medical, or financial records
- No support for legal or tax interpretation
- No ability to access third-party systems or external databases
Data Freshness
FleetUp AI pulls from recent data in your account.
Most results reflect your latest operational activity, but there may be brief differences between AI responses and real-time dashboards.
If you are working on time-sensitive tasks (compliance, safety reviews, or dispatch decisions), confirm final details in your dashboards and reports.
Accuracy & Responsibility
FleetUp AI is designed to provide helpful explanations and data-driven insights, but its outputs may not always be complete or fully precise.
Use the FleetUp platform as the source of truth for operational decisions and regulatory work.
When to Use Other Resources
- For dashcam or video data: use the Dashcam subtab module for more information.
- For Geofencing or Maintenance details: go to the corresponding FleetUp modules.
- For full or exportable datasets: use Reports.
- For platform usage or setup help: use AI Assistant (top right corner or Advanced Map tab).
